maybe more turps than varnish scratched into splatterd
maybe torn like the ragged clouds maybe topped with thin glases of turners medium and
then redrawn in oily charcoal
secondly slabs of thick yellower paint heavy with linseed drifting across a landscape of mild ochres and browns beneath muted cream skies
is this the landscape of my north. Was this the land that I walked across yesterday
