Storth near Newton Bowland a drawing by Rob Miller

Storth Bowland
A drawing in Charcoal and Acrylic white
Rob Miller

Spring morning sunlight slides through a line of trees on the lane that leads on towards Storth.
All the names and all the landscape features hereabouts give clear indications of the history of this ancient spot which always has a special feel for me. Storth is an old Norse name for a wooded place and there are a number of Storth villages and hamlets in the North of England. This long house is built under the lee of the woods and near to the river.Posted by Picasa
