Looking down on the Grane one of the nicest parts of this Pennine outlier. This is the West Pennine Moors. Its a place where at first sight the main impression is space....a joyful impression because were we are is an overcrowded part of an overcrowded country. In 2022 with the ever present risk of Covid space is most welcome. You have to walk I think, walk through the area to get a deeper impression of its form colour and atmosphere.
