The Museum of the Americas (MoA) is one of the few art institutions in Florida to foster and promote both established and emerging contemporary artists of every origin. Located in the heart of Miami, MoA serves as a significant cultural arts center for the region and an important resource for artists, educators and the public. MoA provides a comprehensive exhibitions program of monthly group and solo shows in the main gallery, as well as, Museum on Location a traveling exhibitions program held at international venues. Artists are provided with career counseling and referrals, while MoA serves as a place of first resort for arts professionals seeking information on the myriad array of fine artists in Miami-Dade. The Museum is a cultural beacon presenting film, music, dance, literature, lecture-demonstrations and arts-in-education programs.

Through its diverse menu of programs and activities, the Museum provides and invaluable service to the artists in the region. MoA exhibits works by visual artists and presents performing arts events. Selections from MoA's exhibitions have been shown in satellite locations, in local, national, and international venues. The Museum has been invited to participate in prestigious programs organized by other institutions. Year round, school groups participate in MoA's arts-in-education outreach efforts. MoA's programs evolve and expand in accordance with the expressed needs of our constituency. It maintains an ambitious program of direct benefit to all artists and serves as a model of service to community at large, offering its expertise and space to local groups for symposia, performances and a variety of relevant social events. The Museum houses an Artist-in-Residence program, which provides alternative exhibition space to artists and independent galleries, interested in self-sponsored shows. The program has served to underwrite the costs of maintaining MoA's facilities and provided a valuable first-time exhibition space for emerging artists. MoA receives funding from public and private sources in the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
