Cranham Bathing Hut and Mill Pond. Watercolour
I was told that the Bathi
ng hut was erected in the mid 18th Century when the Mill pond was a favourite place for the locals to bathe. The pond then fell into disuse but has been recently cleaned and the bathing hut restored. Its a very English and a very pleasent place to be. The early morning sun sent low shafts of glimmering silver light across the ponds surface and catching the fresh greens of plants and trees all around this shaded spot.On the pond swans and ducks went about their business.
