The end of last years summer and a new autumn begins. Painted from the same location as the previous Withnell End Of Summer. This is not an extra-ordinary view but for me it was worth painting. It captures the changing seasons especially here in this part of the West Pennines. Surounded by towns and cities, the woodlands, fields, beasts and wild things of the land and air have survived
