Sotogrande Seascape

I have been working in my sketch book on one of the more craggy parts off the Costa Del Sol with views that look beyond Sotogrande towards and onwards to British Gibraltar. Everyday this week we have had strong winds from the north and I can almost smell the snows carried on them. The wind was so strong that it flattened the seas surface and sent it scurrying away in white stripes under a silver sky. A silver sea under silver clouds. Today the wind veered south east and blew even stronger. The swells grew until white surf broke in ranks. The temperature is warmer now though the wind still has its chill. There is a dark metalled blue strip on the far horizon and further in shore the sea normally a blue colour is now the colour of green jade.
